Advances in Omics Research on Maize in Response to Abiotic Stress
Maize(Zea mays L.)is an important dual-purpose crop for food and feed, but its yield and quality are often affected by various abiotic stresses. With the development of molecular biology, omics technologies have become crucial for studying the molecular mechanism of plant response to adversity. In order to systematically and comprehensively analyze the overall mechanisms of maize's response to abiotic stress, and to develop new maize varieties with high yield, multiple resistance and strong adaptability, this study reviewed the omics research progress of maize in response to abiotic stresses such as temperature, drought and light over the past decade from the aspects of genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics and proteomics. It is recommended to integrate various omics technologies. At the same time, more effective bioinformatics analysis techniques should be developed to deepen the understanding of maize's response and adaptation to combined stresses.
