Methods,Applications,and Prospects for Teaching Mathematics to Students with Autism from an Evidence-Based Practice Perspective
Mathematics is an important part of subject teaching in schools for students with intellectual disabilities.With the increase in the number and degree of students with autism in schools for students with intellectual disabilities,the teaching of mathematics is facing new challenges.Based on the content requirements of the National Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education in Schools of Children with Intellectual Disabilities(2016 Edition)for life mathematics,the paper systematically reviews the evidence-based practical research on math teaching to students with autism at home and abroad,and clarifies the effective teaching methods in the five major areas of life mathematics.Based on this,it is proposed that the math teaching o in schools for students with intellectual disabilities should pay attention to the combination of"learning and doing"and the attributes of mathematics discipline;integrate information technology and innovate mathematics teaching methods;strengthen evidence-based practice and improve the quality of teaching and research;and broaden the teaching field and grasp the internal connections of the discipline.
