The political and virtuous curriculum is the core curriculum for implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and nurturing young people.The only political and virtuous curriculum among the 16 curriculum in the Compulsory Education Curriculum Program(2022 Edition)is"Morality and Rule of Law Curriculum",which provides a policy basis for the introduction of ethics and the morality and rule of law curriculum in the compulsory education stage in Schools for students with intellectual disabilities.Currently,the construction of the morality and rule of law curriculum in schools for students with intellectual disabilities in China suffers from the problems of missing system,incapable of practice,and impeded growth of the real problem.The logic of the construction of the political and virtuous courses in schools for students with intellectual disabilities including:the developmental logic of following the commonalities of children and the differences in the moral development of children with special needs;the goal logic of focusing on the core literacy and teaching for the promotion of the all-round development of human beings;the content logic of organically integrating the excellent traditional Chinese culture,the socialist core values,and the spirit of role models based on the laws and regulations and the curriculum standards;and the strategic logic of improving the civic literacy.
