The Effect of Intentional Self-Regulation on Problematic Internet Use in Hearing-Impaired Adolescents:Analyses Based on Variable Center and Person Center
In order to explore the relationship between intentional self-regulation,meaning in life and problematic Internet use in hearing-impaired adolescents,a total of 454 hearing-impaired adolescents completed a set of questionnaires including the intentional self-regulation questionnaire, meaning in life questionnaire and problematic Internet use questionnaire. The results showed that:(1)Intentional self-regulation was significantly negatively correlated with the problematic Internet use in hearing-impaired adolescents;(2)the presence of meaning partially mediated the relationship between intentional self-regulation and problematic Internet use,and the search for meaning has a masking effect between intentional self-regulation and problematic Internet use.(3)By using personal-oriented analysis, the LPA of intentional self-regulation and meaning in life were identified as two latent profiles in hearing-impaired adolescents, that is,low regulation-meaning type and middle regulation-meaning type.In order to reduce problematic internet use behavior,it is suggested that special educators pay attention to cultivating the intentional self-regulation ability of hearing-impaired adolescents, strengthen life education, and guide them to establish a correct outlook on life, actively pursue quality of life, and realize a high level of life meaning.
