Within the family system, there is intergenerational transmission of disability stigma. This phenomenon includes the transmission of public stigma from parents of ordinary families to their children and the transmission of self-stigma from parents who internalize the stigama to their children with special needs.Parents of ordinary families and families with special children pass on their internalized negative stereotypes and identities of disabled groups to their children, solidifying the stigma of disability.Disability stigma is mainly transmitted through children's observation and learning,parent-child communication and parenting style, including knowledge, emotions and behaviors. Moreover, children's age, parents'gender and social and cultural factors will affect the relevance of intergenarational transmission. In the future,it is necessary to further study the underlying mechanisms of the intergenerational transmission of disability stigma, strengthen the research on the blocking mechanism of the intergenerational transmission of disability stigma, and focus on the localization of the intergenerational transmission of disability stigma.
