A Study and Analysis of the Subject Content Knowledge of Life Mathematics Teachers in Schools for the Intellectually Disabled:Taking Numbers and Operations within 20 as an Example
Content knowledge is the core support for teachers to teach life mathematics effectively in schools for the intellectually disabled.In order to understand the current status of teachers'content knowledge of life mathematics in those schools,the concept map test was applied to the teachers who are responsible for teaching life mathematics in the schools in Beijing.The results showed that,the structure of teachers'content knowledge of life mathematics is reasonable,with some concepts missing;the subordinate relationships between the content knowledge of life mathematics are emphasized,while the cross-relationship are still weak;they have a certain content knowledge system of life mathematics,but the accuracy of the knowledge needs to be improved.It is recommended that teacher's books for life mathematics highlight the structured presentation of knowledge;focus on teachers'self-renewal to achieve the systematic knowledge construction of life mathematics content;enhance the quality of special education teacher education programs and establish a basic framework for the construction of life mathematics content;and provide post-service continuing education in stages and categories to promote the differentiation and professional growth of teachers with different experiences in life mathematics education.
