A Review of Research on Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Effective early intervention significantly promotes the development of various abilities in children with autism spectrum disorder.Supported by strong evidence-based practice,early intensive behavioral intervention has become one of the most widely used and highly effective early interventions.This paper systematically reviews the international empirical research findings from the past decade on early intensive behavioral intervention in promoting the development of children with autism and analyzes them in terms of the intervention targets,intervention settings,intervention implementers,intervention intensity,intervention duration,intervention goals and intervention outcomes.The aim is to clarify the research progress on the early intensive behavioral intervention and provide suggestions for the construction and improvement of the early intervention service system for children with autism in China.
