A Study on Overseas Dissemination and Reception of English Translations of Yi Jing
As the theoretical foundation of natural philosophy and humanistic practice in traditional Chinese ideology and culture,Yi Jing is an important part in the overseas translation of Chinese classics.Despite the fact that there are numerous English translations of Yi Jing,there is a dearth of research on their reception effects.Based on an overview of the translation process of the Yi Jing,this article focuses on seven English versions of the literature and employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis,conducting a comprehensive survey of reader's reception effect of each translation and the factors related,with the amount of the global library collection,citation frequency,review ratings and numbers of overseas reader,as well as comments as the measurement indicators.The goal is to provide reference for promoting Chinese culture to go global.
