The Overlapping of Triple Meaningsin li yun and the Textual Layered Accumulation of the jing(Classic)and zhuan(Commentary)of"Li Yun"
Based on a textual analysis of"Li Yun,"the overlapping triple meanings of li yun form a classic-commentary textual structure. The first three dialogues depict li yun as the realization of the natural order in production order.Subsequently, interpretations diverge, focusing either on politics or on the yue ling procedure. This overlap suggests that the initial dialogues constitute the classic part, while the latter two interpretations serve as commentary.Analyzing these interpretations alongside the textual structure and history of ideas reveals a layered composition divided into four parts:the classic dialogues, two political commentary sections centered on da jia and da shun, and a procedural commentary based on yue ling. These layers were likely accumulated during two periods:the transition between the Spring and Autumn period and Warring States period,as well as the middle and late Warring States period.
