Voluntary Blood Donation of College Students in Weifang:Status and Influ-encing Factors of Knowledge-Attitude-Practice(KPA)
Objective To explore the knowledge-attitude-practice-status quo and related influencing factors of volun-tary blood donation among college students in Weifang City.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 200 college students over 18 years old from 6 colleges and universities in Weifang City in December 2023.The differ-ences in knowledge-attitude-practice of voluntary blood donation among different groups were compared,and the in-fluencing factors were analyzed by Logistic regression model.Results A total of 1198 valid questionnaires were col-lected in this study.The results showed that 77.00%of college students in Weifang were aware of the knowledge of voluntary blood donation,70.87%of them had the willingness to donate blood,and the participation rate of voluntary blood donation was 32.55%.The willingness and behavior of blood donation were positively correlated with cognitive level.The willingness and behavior of blood donation of college students were positively correlated with their cognitive level.Gender,grade,major,political status,participation in community activities,self-rated health status,parents'at-titude and family history of blood donation were the main factors affecting voluntary blood donation of college students(all P<0.05).Conclusion The voluntary blood donation rate of college students in Weifang was much lower than the blood donation willingness.According to the influencing factors,the publicity methods and contents should be ad-justed,and the corresponding publicity and service strategies should be formulated to improve the recognition rate of college students,so as to increase the voluntary blood donation rate of college students and establish a stable blood do-nation team.
