Analysis of the Value of Management Model under JCI Standards to Hos-pital Environmental Health Management
Objective To analyze the application value of the management model under the Joint Commission Interna-tional(JCI)standards for hospital environmental health management.Methods 97 medical staff in the inpatient ward of Qinzhou Second People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.Regular management methods were implemented from January 2021 to January 2022 as before intervention,management mod-els under JCI standards were implemented from February 2022 to January 2023 as after intervention.Compared the environmental quality assessment,object surface hygiene compliance,medical staff's hand hygiene compliance and satisfaction rate before and after the intervention.Results The environmental quality assessment scores after the inter-vention were significantly higher than before the intervention,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The surface hygiene passing rate after the intervention(97.95%)was higher than before the intervention(95.36%),the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The hand hygiene compliance rate of medical staff after the intervention(96.27%)was higher than before the intervention(91.18%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of medical staff after the intervention(96.91%)was higher than before the intervention(89.69%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing the management model under JCI stan-dards in hospital environmental sanitation management can improve the cleanliness of the hospital environment and object surfaces,and improve the hand hygiene compliance of medical staff.This further improves medical safety,re-duces the incidence of nosocomial infections,and results in higher satisfaction among medical staff.
