Discussion on the Improvement of Clinical Teaching Quality in Obstetrics and Gynecology Using Discussion Case Teaching Method
Objective Explore the effect of using discussion case teaching method in clinical teaching of obstetrics and gynecology.Methods A total of 20 obstetrics and gynecology interns from September 2022 to September 2023 from the Juxian County Xiazhuang Town Health Center were selected as the study objects.They were divided into two groups randomly for group teaching,with 10 cases in each group.The control group used traditional teaching methods,and the research group used discussion-based case teaching methods.The scores of assessment,teaching quality,and satisfaction were compared between the two groups of interns.Results The theoretical scores and practical scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the scores of communication and cooperation abil-ity,stimulated learning interest,activated the classroom atmosphere and cultivated practical ability were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The teaching satisfaction of interns in the research group was 90.00%,which was higher than 40.00%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.495,P<0.05).Conclusion In terms of clinical teaching in obstetrics and gynecology,after using the discussion case teaching method,the teaching quality has been significantly improved,the satisfaction with teaching is high,and the assessment scores have also been improved.
