Application of Doctor-patient Communication Simulation Teaching in the Clinical Practice of Resident Physicians in Internal Medicine
Objective To explore the application value of doctor-patient communication simulation teaching in the clinical practice of resident physicians in internal medicine. Methods A total of fifty-four resident physicians from the clinical internal medicine department of the Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical College from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by random drawing method:simulation group(n=27)and con-trol group(n=27).The simulation group constructed the doctor-patient communication scene, carried out the scenario design, and gave the simulation experiment. The control group was only given traditional clinical teaching.Skill test scores,doctor-patient communication ability, clinical patient satisfaction and comprehensive ability scores were com-pared between the two groups. Results The scores in the simulation group were higher than those in the control group in the dimensions of preparation, information collection, information giving and understanding of patients, and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Physical examination, professional theory, clinical thinking and ex-pression ability, ability to deal with critical and difficult diseases scores and total scores in the simulation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The simulation group was significantly higher than the control group in three parts:basic skill operation,doctor-patient communication in the simulation scenario, and clinical reception, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of doctor-patient communication simulation teaching can effectively improve the clinical communication ability of internal medicine resident training doctors, and build a good cooperative founda-tion for the next diagnosis and treatment of diseases and patient follow-up.
