Application of CBL Combined with Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode in Clinical Teaching of Infectious Disease Department
Objective To explore the application effect of case-based learning(CBL)combined with flipped classroom teaching mode in clinical internship teaching for undergraduate students in infection department. Methods A total of 116 medical students who practiced in the Department of Infection in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical Uni-versity from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects and divided into two groups by random number table method, with 58 students in each group. The study group used CBL combined with flipped class-room teaching, and the control group implemented the traditional clinical teaching model. The teaching effect of the two groups were compared. Results The study group scored better than the control group in theory examination and clinical skills operation examination, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of medical record writing, disease diagnosis, and clinical routine operations of the study group were higher than those of the con-trol group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfaction scores of the study group in the interest in learning, knowledge mastery,teacher-student interactions, case study ability and practical ability of clini-cal teaching were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of CBL and flipped classroom in clinical practice teaching of infection depart-ment can effectively improve the quality of clinical practice teaching of infection department, enhance the theoretical basis and practical operation ability of students.
