Practical Exploration of Seminar Teaching Method in Geriatric Medicine Clinical Practice Teaching
Objective To discuss the value of Seminar teaching method in geriatric medicine clinical practice teach-ing.Methods Seventy medical students participating in geriatric medicine courses in Affiliated Hospital of Guang-dong Medical University from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected and divided into control group(n=35)and research group(n=35)by random number table method.Medical students in the control group adopted traditional medical teaching mode,while medical students in the research group adopted Seminar teaching method.The theoreti-cal knowledge,skill level score and teaching effect of the two groups were compared.Results The scores of theoretical knowledge test and practical skill in the research group were higher than those in the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of the research group were higher than those of the con-trol group in mobilizing learning interest and initiative,improving class participation,enriching theoretical knowledge and technical knowledge,enhancing communication ability,information retrieval ability,teamwork ability,autonomous learning ability,courseware making ability and induction and summary ability,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Seminar teaching method is of high value in geriatric medicine clinical practice teaching,which is helpful to enrich students'cognition of geriatric medicine knowledge,improve their clinical prac-tice skills,improve teaching effect and teaching quality,and has higher application value than traditional medical teaching mode.
