Evaluation of PBL Teaching Method + Evidence-based Medicine Model on Improving the Quality of Surgical Residency Training
Objective To explore the effect of problem-based learning(PBL)teaching method + evidence-based medicine model on improving the quality of surgical residency training. Methods A total of 20 residents in surgical training from the Department of Surgery of Juxian Xiaodian Town Health Center from June 2021 to June 2023 were se-lected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group by random num-ber table method, with 10 residents in each group. The control group received traditional teaching, while the observa-tion group received PBL teaching method + evidence-based medicine model teaching. After the teaching is com-pleted,the teaching effects of the two groups were compared. Results The assessment scores, teaching satisfaction scores, and critical thinking scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion PBL teaching method + evidence-based medicine model can significantly improve the quality of surgical residential training.
