Application Value of"Five-element Method"Combined with PDCA Man-agement Mode in Operating Room Instrument and Equipment Manage-ment
Objective To analyze the application value of"five-element method"combined with PDCA management mode in operating room instrument management.Methods From January 2021 to December 2022,39 operating room staff of Shexian People's Hospital were selected as the study objects.From January to December 2021,the control group was set up,and the PDCA management mode was used for instrument and equipment management in the operat-ing room(a total of 8 368 surgeries were completed).The observation group was set up from January to December 2022,and the five-normal method strategy was jointly adopted on the basis of PDCA management mode used for in-strument and equipment management in the operating room(a total of 8 547 surgeries were completed).The quality performance assessment score of operating room instrument and equipment management and the satisfaction score of operating room instrument and equipment management were compared between the two groups.The defect rate of in-strument handover information record and the incidence of adverse event of operating room instrument were compared between the two groups.Results The scores of operating room instrument management quality performance assessment and satisfaction scores of operating room instrument and equipment management in the observation group were signifi-cantly higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The de-fect rate of postoperative instrument handover information recording and the incidence of adverse events of operating room instruments in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of"five-element methods"and PDCA man-agement model has significant value and effect on the management of operating room instruments and equipment,and the cooperation between the two is very effective,can improve the quality of work.
