Effect of PBL Combined with CBL Teaching Method in Geriatric Teaching
Objective To analyze the effects of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with case-based learning(CBL)on improving the teaching effect and students'satisfaction in geriatric teaching,and to provide references for the development of geriatric teaching activities.Methods A total of eighty students who practiced in the geriatric de-partment of the Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,with forty cases in each group.PBL combined with CBL teaching mode and conventional teaching mode were provided respectively.The as-sessment scores and student satisfaction with teaching between two groups were compared.Results The test scores of basic theory and practice in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher in stimulating learning interest and initiative,understanding and mastering knowledge points,and cultivating problem-solving ability,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PBL and CBL teaching method in geriatric teaching has a good effect,which is not only conducive to improving students'academic performance,but also conducive to improving students'satisfaction with teaching.
