Application Value of PBL Method in Pediatric Respiratory System Teach-ing
Objective To evaluate the results of problem-based learning method(PBL)in pediatric respiratory system teaching.Methods Eighty students majoring in clinical medicine who were interned in the Department of Pediatrics in the Ninth People's Hospital of Chongqing Municipality from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected for the study.According to the different study time,they were divided into two groups,the reference group(from Novem-ber 2022 to May 2023)and the research group(from June to November 2023),with 40 students in each group.Tradi-tional teaching method was applied in the reference group,while PBL teaching method was applied in the research group.The assessment scores,teaching satisfaction,and overall competence of the two groups were compared.Results After teaching,the research group's assessment scores and comprehensive ability scores were higher than those of the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Teaching satisfaction of the research group was higher than that of the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PBL method is significant to improve the teaching quality of pediatric respiratory system,and can also promote the improvement of students'comprehensive ability.
