Practical Effect of Case Teaching Method Combined with Evidence-based Medicine in the Standardized Training of Neurosurgery Residents
Objective To study and analyze the practical effect of case teaching method combined with evidence-based medicine in the standardized training of neurosurgery residents. Methods A total of two hundred resident doc-tors who received standardized training in neurosurgery department of Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical Uni-versity from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to the training time, there were each one hundred students in the reference group(January to December 2022)and the study group(January to December 2023).The study group adopted the standardized training mode of case teaching combined with evidence-based medicine, and the reference group adopted the traditional standardized training mode. After 2 months of train-ing,the theoretical knowledge level and case analysis of the two groups of residents were assessed. The teaching effect of the two training modes were compared. Results After the training, the total score of theoretical knowledge test of the study group was(94.19±2.28)points,which was significantly better than that of the reference group(83.53±5.87)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of case analysis of the study group was(92.23±2.99)points,which was significantly better than that of the reference group(85.34±3.69)points,and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The training mode of case teaching method combined with evidence-based medicine can improve some deficiencies in the traditional training mode, significantly improve the training quality of neurosurgery, stimulate the learning interest of residents, cultivate their clinical thinking ability, and make the standardized training of neurosurgery more efficient, accurate and intuitive, which is worthy of further exploration and promotion.
