Study on the Application of Student-led Integrated Medicine Teaching Model in Urology Clinical Teaching
Objective To explore the practical value of student-led integrated medicine teaching method in urology clinical teaching.Methods Sixty clinical medical students majoring in integrated Chinese and Western medicine who were interned in the Department of Urology at Lianyungang Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into two groups according to the method of randomized number table,with 30 students in the observation group and 30 in the control group.The observation group adopted the student-led integrated medicine teaching model,and the con-trol group adopted the conventional teaching model.At the end of the teaching,observed and compared the scores of theory examination,practical skills and thinking ability assessment of the students in the two groups,and at the same time,we prepared questionnaires to obtain the students'real evaluation of the teaching effect.Results The results of theory examination,practical skills and comprehensive score of students in the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The clinical thinking score and evaluation of teaching effect of students in the observation group were better than the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion In the clinical teaching of urology,the implementation of student-led integrated medicine teaching mode can stimulate students'interest in self-study,exercise clinical thinking,cultivate teamwork consciousness,improve medical humanistic literacy,and fully embodies the holistic and practical nature required in the integrated medicine teaching mode of urology,which has a good teaching effect.
