Current Situation and Influencing Factors of the"Knowledge,Faith and Action"of College Students'Unpaid Blood Donation
Objective To analyze the current situation and related influencing factors of the voluntary blood donation of freshmen in Weifang City,to provide reference for improving the rate of voluntary blood donation among college stu-dents.Methods A total of two thousand three hundred and fifty freshmen from six universities in Weifang City from September to December 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects,and questionnaire survey was con-ducted on them by using questionnaire star.The difference of"knowledge,faith and action"of blood donation among different groups was compared,and the influencing factors were analyzed by Logistic regression model.Results A to-tal of 2 338 valid questionnaires were collected in this study.The results showed that 73.31%of the freshmen knew the knowledge of voluntary blood donation,and 76.60%of the freshmen were willing to donate blood without compen-sation.The voluntary blood donation rate of freshmen was 20.87%,which was lower than the willingness to donate blood.Gender,educational level,self-rated health status,blood donation knowledge score,parents'attitude and fam-ily history of blood donation were the main factors affecting unpaid blood donation of college students(all P<0.05).Conclusion The rate of voluntary blood donation of college students is lower than that of their willingness to donate blood.The publicity and recruitment methods and strategies should be adjusted according to the factors that affect their willingness and behavior,so as to improve their cognition level and increase the rate of voluntary blood donation of college students.
