Application of 7S Quality Control Management Measures in Laboratory Management of the Laboratory Department
Objective To observe the application effect of 7S quality control management measures in laboratory man-agement of the Laboratory Department. Methods From February 2021 to May 2022,institutionalized management measures were implemented in the laboratory of the Laboratory Department of Beijing Red Cross Emergency Rescue Center, and from June 2022 to May 2023,the application of 7S quality control management measures began.Twenty-six staff members were selected to compare the quality control assessment scores of laboratory staff in the Laboratory Department of the Testing Division, the occurrence of error events in testing specimens, and the disposal of medical waste from testing specimens before and after the implementation of 7S quality control management. Results The qual-ity control assessment scores of laboratory staff in the Laboratory Department under 7S quality control management were significantly higher than those under institutionalized management, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The incidence of errors in laboratory specimen testing under 7S quality control management was sig-nificantly lower than that under institutionalized management, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).7S quality control management of laboratory testing specimens under the laboratory of Laboratory Department of medi-cal waste correctly disposed of rate was significantly higher than the institutionalized management, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of 7S quality control management in the laboratory of the Laboratory Department can effectively improve the quality control assessment scores of laboratory staff in the Laboratory Department and the correct disposal rate of medical waste, reduce the incidence of errors, and also effectively improve the awareness of personal safety of laboratory staff and reduce the occurrence of nosocomial in-fections.
