Influence of Seminar Teaching Method on Specialty Knowledge Mastery and Self-competence Enhancement in Rheumatology Immunology Clinical Teaching
Objective To evaluate the teaching effect of Seminar teaching method used in the Department of Rheuma-tology Immunology.Methods Sixty-two students who were interned in the Department of Rheumatology Immunology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected as the reference group and were subjected to the conventional teaching method.Sixty-three students interned in the Department of Rheumatology Immunology of our hospital from April 2021 to April 2022 were selected as the study group and were taught by Seminar teaching method.The teaching effect of the two groups was compared.Results The scores of specialty knowledge mastery,self-competence improvement,in-dependent learning ability,and clinical thinking ability of the study group were higher than those of the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The teaching satisfaction of the study group(96.83%)was higher than that of the reference group(85.48%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.008,P<0.05).Conclusion Seminar teaching method can enhance the specialty knowledge mastery of rheumatology interns,improve their self-competence,cultivate their independent learning power and clinical thinking,and have high teaching satisfaction.
