Evaluation of Continuous Quality Improvement on the Enhancement of Microbiological Test Management in Center for Disease Control and Pre-vention
Objective To explore the effect of adopting continuous quality improvement in microbiological testing in centers for disease control and prevention. Methods 20 managers of Qingdao Laoshan District Center for Disease Con-trol and Prevention were selected as study subjects from January to December 2020,with January to June 2020 as the control group(implementation of routine management)and July to December 2020 as the observation group(implemen-tation of continuous quality improvement).Compared specimen attainment rate, management quality, and staff satisfac-tion between the two groups. Results The specimen attainment rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The management quality score of the observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfaction of observation group(100.00%)was higher than that of control group(75.00%),and the differ-ence was statistically significant(χ2=5.714,P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of adopting continuous quality improve-ment in microbiological testing in CDC is remarkable, which can improve the compliance rate of testing specimens,en-hance the quality of management, and increase satisfaction.
