Effect of Management Model Based on Knowledge,Belief and Action Theory on Improving Hand Hygiene of Medical Staff
Objective To explore the effect of the knowledge,belief and action theory management model on the im-provement of hand hygiene in community work.Methods Twenty-five medical workers working in Lanling County Ur-ban Community Health Service Center from January to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects,from Janu-ary to June 2023 as the reference group,which implemented conventional hand hygiene management,and from July to December 2023 as the observation group,which implemented the hand hygiene management of the theory of knowing and believing and practicing.There was no change in medical workers in both time periods.The improvement of hand hygiene of the two groups of medical workers was compared.Results Hand hygiene cognition score,hand hygiene be-lief score,hand hygiene theoretical knowledge score and hand hygiene practical skill score of the observation group were better than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfaction of hand hygiene management mode in the observation group was better than that in the control group(100.00%vs 76.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.735,P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of the knowledge,belief and practice management mode in the community work of medical workers can enhance the hand hy-giene compliance of medical workers,deepen the understanding of basic theoretical knowledge of medical workers,strengthen the clinical operation ability of medical workers,and further improve their satisfaction of management.
