Application of OSCE in the Standardized Resident Training Teaching of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cardiology
Objective To analyze the effect and value of the application of objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)in the standardized resident training teaching of traditional Chinese medicine cardiology(cardiovascular medi-cine).Methods Sixty students who underwent standardized resident training in the Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chi-nese Medicine(WUHTC)from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected and divided into observation group(30 stu-dents,teaching with OSCE examination mode)and control group(30 students,teaching with conventional examination mode)by random number table method.Compare the teaching effect of the two groups.Results In the observation group,the reported medical history score was 14.43±0.94,theoretical knowledge assessment score was 14.43±0.94,clinical skills assessment score was 14.43±0.94,disease collection and physical examination score was 25.70±1.47,clinical medical record writing and analysis score was 14.23±1.30,and clinical ability assessment score was 90.30±4.34,higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=1.472,0.913,2.686,2.630,2.129,2.694,all P<0.05).The self-directed learning assessment scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The teach-ing of standardized resident training in Chinese medicine cardiovascular internal medicine with the help of OSCE as-sessment can also enable students to better master professional knowledge,clinical skills,improve the ability to ana-lyze and deal with clinical problems,and increase the subjective initiative of resident training students on Chinese medicine residency training teaching.
