Objective To explore the effectiveness of rational drug classification and drug regulatory system on the management of Western pharmacies.Methods 12 staff members working at the Western Pharmacy of Xianggong Cen-tral Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.From January to December 2021,routine management of the West-ern Pharmacy was carried out,with a total of 210 prescriptions included as a reference group.From January 2022 to December 2022,a total of 210 prescriptions were included in the intervention of rational drug classification and drug supervision system,and were set up as a research group.Compared the prescription error rate,Western pharmacy management quality,and staff satisfaction with management between the two groups.Results After comparing the pre-scription error rates between the two groups,the research group had a lower error rate of 1.43%(3/210)compared to the reference group's 5.71%(12/210),the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.600,P<0.05).After comparing the management quality scores of the two groups,the research group had a higher score compared to the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After comparing the satisfaction levels of management be-tween the two groups of staff,the research group had a higher level of satisfaction compared to the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of rational drug classification and drug supervision system in the management of Western pharmacies can effectively reduce prescription error rates,im-prove the quality of Western pharmacy management,and enhance the satisfaction of staff with management.
