Application of Novel Hip Model in Orthopedic Clinical Teaching
Objective To explore the role of new hip model in clinical teaching of orthopedics. Methods A total of 46 residents who underwent standardized training in the PLA General Hospital from March to September 2023 were se-lected as the research objects. They were divided into two groups by random number table method, with 23 residents in each group. The study group used a new hip model, and the control group used a traditional old model. After train-ing,the theoretical and operational skills were assessed, and the training satisfaction survey was conducted after the department,so as to clarify the differences between the two models in the teaching process. Results The operation scores of the study group were higher than that of the control group, and the difference were statistically significant(all P<0.05),which were manifested in the aspects of organizational protection, operation time and action, operation pro-cess and operation familiarity. The satisfaction scores of skill training and skill assessment in the study group were 9.1±0.8 and 9.0±0.9,higher than 8.2±1.0 and 8.3±1.3 in the control group, and the difference were statistically signifi-cant(t=3.370,2.513,both P<0.05).The satisfaction of assistant management, communication ability and theoretical training in theoretical and operational scores were higher than those in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(all P>0.05).Conclusion The new model can improve the operation skills of surgical residents with good user experience, low cost and high satisfaction, and can be used as a training tool for orthopedic skills train-ing.
