This article explores strategies for cultivating critical thinking skills in clinical pathology residents,empha-sizing the crucial role these skills play in pathological diagnosis.The article begins by outlining the core elements of critical thinking,including analysis,evaluation,and reasoning,and explains how these elements enhance the diagnos-tic accuracy and decision-making quality of pathology residents.It delves into the close relationship between critical thinking and pathological diagnosis,proposing various training strategies such as case-based teaching,problem-based learning(PBL),group discussion and interaction,participation in research projects,as well as digital pathology and ar-tificial intelligence assisted diagnosis.The aim is to provide guidance for the professional development of clinical pa-thology residents,ensuring they can make accurate pathological diagnoses in clinical practice.
