Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of hazard analysis critical control point(HACCP)management measures in the central sterile supply department(CSSD)in device defect control and device cleaning quality control. Methods From June 2022 to June 2023,26 staff members of the Supply department of Dalian Central Hospital were selected as the study subjects, and 300 medical devices treated with CSSD cleaning and disinfection were selected as the subjects of observation.According to different management plans, the patients were divided into routine group(13 staff,150 pieces of medical equipment, treated with routine plan)and HACCP group(13 staff,150 pieces of medical equipment, treated with routine plan). The quality of disinfection and cleaning, defects of equipment management and protective behavior were compared between the two groups. Results The cleaning quality of HACCP group were better than those of conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total device man-agement defect rate in HACCP group 2.00%(3/150)was lower than that in conventional group 8.00%(12/150),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.684,P<0.05).The protective behavior of staff in HACCP group were better than those in conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of HACCP in the disinfection and management of medical devices can improve the cleaning quality of CSSD,effectively control the label inconsistency and device record problems, and improve the protective behavior of staff.
