Objective To explore the impact of using PDCA cycle management model for medical staff on hand hy-giene adherence.Methods Forty-two medical staff of Anshun Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from February 2020 to May 2023 were selected as study subjects.They were grouped according to the management method,with the reference group(n=21)adopting the conventional management mode and the research group(n=21)adopting the PDCA cycle management mode.The hand hygiene compliance and hand hygiene related knowledge scores of health-care workers in the two groups were compared.Results The hand hygiene compliance of healthcare workers in the study group was higher than that of the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).The scores of hand hygiene indication was 90.25±3.12,seven-step washing method was 90.44±2.25,disinfection prin-ciple was 90.63±2.25,hand washing time was 90.17±3.25,and disinfection method was 90.49±2.25 in the study group,which were higher than 85.35±2.15,85.63±3.17,85.11±4.25,85.13±2.26,85.66±2.25 in the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=5.926,5.670,5.260,5.834,6.955,all P<0.05).Conclusion Rea-sonable use of PDCA cycle management mode for medical staff in hospitals can improve hand hygiene compliance.
