Analysis of the Operation Effect of Appointment and Inventory Manage-ment for Platelet Mechanism with Uncertain Supply and Demand
Objective Through the analysis of scrap and discharge of platelets,the effect of platelets reservation and inventory management mechanism was discussed.Methods From January 2020 to December 2022,Weifang Blood Central established apheresis platelet data statistics and tracking system to analyze scrapping and delivery.Results Through the establishment of appointment and inventory management mechanism,the expired scrap rate decreased from 0.49‰(8/16 340)to 0,and the 48 h appointment rate increased from 92.60%(15 061/16 270)to 98.00%(21 630/22 066).The difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.596,1 002.662,both P<0.05).Conclusion The res-ervation and inventory management mechanism of apheresis platelets improves the timeliness of clinical supply of apheresis platelets and effectively reduces the expiration rate of platelets.
