Exploration and Practice of Mixed Teaching Mode for Basic Surgical Op-eration Skills Based on Standardized Rating Scale
Objective To explore the effect of mixed teaching of basic surgical operation skills based on standardized rating scale. Methods From September 2022 to January 2024,618 undergraduates of Grade 2020 clinical medicine major in Guangdong Medical University were selected as the traditional teaching group, and 663 undergraduates of Grade 2021 clinical medicine major in Guangdong Medical University were selected as the mixed teaching group.Tra-ditional teaching group uses traditional skills to teach. The mixed teaching group adopted the mixed teaching mode of surgical skills based on standardized rating scale. The results of compulsory test and sample test of clinical practice skills and students'satisfaction scores on the course were compared between the two groups. Results The results of the mixed teaching group were higher than those of the traditional teaching group in disinfected towel, surgical clothes and gloves, surgical hand washing, incision and suture, dressing and disassembling, and the total scores of re-quired tests, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the scores of knotting method and device identification(both P>0.05).The scores of stu-dents in the mixed teaching group on improving learning interest, surgical skills, operation confidence and course sat-isfaction were higher than those in the traditional teaching group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The mixed surgical skill teaching mode based on standardized rating scale can improve stu-dents'performance of basic surgical skills, improve learning effect, improve operation confidence and satisfaction.
