Common Problems and Targeted Improvement Measures of Dispensing Herbal Pieces in Hospital Pharmacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective To analyze the common problems and targeted improvement measures of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces dispensing in the pharmacy department of traditional chinese medicine.Methods A total of 1 000 prescriptions managed by traditional management methods(March to December 2022,17 staff members)in the Department of Pharmacy of the Second People's Hospital of Guiyang were randomly selected as the control group,and 1 000 prescriptions of PDCA cycle management mode(January to October 2023,17 staff members)were used as the intervention group.The error rate of prescription dispensing,the time of prescription dispensing of decoction pieces,the quality score of prescription dispensing,and the recognition of staff(management mode)were compared between the two groups.Results The adjustment error rate of the control group was 2.80%(28/1 000),which was higher than 1.10%(11/1 000)of the intervention group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.603,P<0.05).The prescription dispensing time of the control group and the the quality score of prescription dispensing were better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The recognition rate of staff in the intervention group was 94.12%(16/17),which was higher than 76.47%(13/17)in the control group,but the dif-ference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion In order to provide patients with high quality and safety,it is helpful to reduce dispensing errors,shorten dispensing time,improve dispensing quality,and actively take tar-geted improvement measures for dispensing traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces in the pharmacy of the de-partment of traditional chines medicine.
