Application of Total Quality Control in Physical and Chemical Laborato-ries of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Objective To analyze the implementation effect of total quality control in the physical and chemical labo-ratory of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.Methods From October 2021 to November 2023,24 staff members from the physical and chemical laboratories and business-related departments of Jinan Zhangqiu District Disease Prevention Control Center were selected as the research objects.The traditional quality management was implemented from October 2021 to October 2022(control group),and the total quality control management was imple-mented from November 2022 to November 2023(study group).The two groups of staff were the same group.The scores of laboratory management quality(workflow,work efficiency,coordination,work enthusiasm)and the number of adverse events(instrument damage,reagent waste,data error)were compared between the two groups.Results The quality of laboratory management scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After the implementation of the management model in the control group,5 cases of adverse events occurred,including 2 cases of reagent waste,1 case of instrument damage,and 2 cases of data error.After the implementation of the management mode in the study group,2 cases of adverse events oc-curred,including 1 case of instrument damage and 1 case of data error.Conclusion The application of total quality control in the physical and chemical laboratory of centers for disease control and prevention can effectively make up for the deficiencies in the basic management of the laboratory,reduce the proportion of adverse events,and realize the precise allocation of human resources.It is of positive significance to promote the smooth development of inspection work and improve the efficiency and quality of inspection work.
