This paper discusses the related problems of digital transformation in the field of medical information man-agement.Through literature review and field investigation,this paper analyzes in detail the advantages of paperless medical records in public hospitals,including reducing management costs,improving work efficiency,promoting infor-mation sharing and teamwork,improving medical service quality,patient safety and environmental protection,as well as the challenges of information security and privacy protection,technical problems,organizational culture change and resource investment guarantee.It is necessary to strengthen information security and privacy protection measures,pro-mote technological innovation and upgrading,strengthen personnel training and cultural reform,and optimize resource allocation and management to overcome difficulties.It is emphasized that although paperless medical records have a significant impact on improving the management efficiency and medical service quality of public hospitals,a series of challenges still need to be solved to achieve sustainable development and continuously improve service quality and pa-tient experience.
