Analysis of the Water Quality and Hygienic Status of Swimming Places in Haidian District in Beijing during 2018 to 2022
Objective To understand the status quo and change trend of swimming pool water hygiene in Haidian Dis-trict,Beijing from 2018 to 2022,find the existing problems,put forward effective treatment measures,improve the wa-ter quality of swimming places,and ensure the safety of residents swimming.Methods From June 2018 to September 2022,423 swimming pools in Haidian District of Beijing were selected as monitoring objects by Haidian District Cen-ter for Disease Control and Prevention.Pool water samples were collected,and the turbidity,urea,free residual chlo-rine,pH value,total bacteria and coliform group of the samples were determined,and the water quality test results were statistically analyzed.Results From 2018 to 2022,a total of 1 269 swimming pool water samples were tested,and 893 were qualified,with an overall pass rate of 70.4%.The qualified rate of water quality was 43.5%(146/336)in 2018,88.5%(292/330)in 2019,76.7%(69/90)in 2020 and 89.6%(285/318)in 2021,the qualified rate of water qual-ity in 2022 was 51.8%(101/195),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=259.208,P<0.05).The qualified rate of turbidity and coliform group was the highest,followed by the total number of bacteria,pH value and urea,and the lowest qualified rate was free residual chlorine.Among different types of swimming pools,the highest qualified rate was the school affiliated swimming pool,followed by the hotel affiliated swimming pool,and the social swimming pool had the lowest qualified rate.Conclusion From 2018 to 2022,free residual chlorine and urea were the main indi-cators affecting the qualified rate of swimming places in Haidian District.The daily supervision and management of swimming places,especially the sanitary supervision of social swimming pools,should be further strengthened to fur-ther improve the qualified rate of swimming pools and ensure swimming satety.
