Application of PDCA Cycle Method in the Management Quality Control of Disinfection and Supply Center
Objective To explore the application value of PDCA cycle method in the quality management of central sterile supply department(CSSD).Methods Ten staff members of CSSD of Jiyang District People's Hospital,Jinan City,Shandong Province,were selected as the study subjects from June 2021 to July 2023.Conventional quality man-agement was adopted from June 2021 to June 2022 as the control group.From July 2022 to July 2023,PDCA cycle method of management was adopted as the observation group.The staffs of the two groups are the same.Compared the two groups of device management pass rate,work quality,management satisfaction.Results The pass rate of disinfec-tion,cleaning,sterilization,and packaging in the observation group were 99.69%(326/327),100.00%(327/327),99.08%(324/327),and 100.00%(327/327)in that order,which were higher than those of the control group,which were 97.29%(359/369),97.83%(361/369),96.75%(357/369),and 97.27%(359/369),and the differences were statis-tically significant(χ2=6.442,5.391,4.481,7.179,all P<0.05).The quality of work scores and satisfaction scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The PDCA cycle method can improve the quality of CSSD's work and obtain a high level of satis-faction.
