Objective To analyze the significance of public health management in preventing infectious diseases.Methods Twenty staff working in the Public Health Surveillance Department of Zhoucun District Center for Disease Control and Prevention,Zibo City,Shandong Province from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.The control group was subjected to conventional management methods from December 2022 to May 2023,and the observation group was subjected to public health management methods from June to December 2023.The prevention and control ability and professional quality of the staff were compared before and after the implementa-tion of public health management.Results The prevention and control ability of staff in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The professional ac-complishment score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statis-tically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The adoption of public health management strategies in the prevention and control work of infectious diseases effectively enhances the management proficiency and professional competence of the staff involved.
