Objective To explore the role and effect of public health management in the prevention of infectious dis-eases.Methods Twenty staff members of Lanshan District Center for Disease Control and Prevention,Linyi City,Shandong Province were selected as the study subjects from January to December 2023,and the conventional manage-ment mode was implemented from January to June 2023(control group),and the public health management mode was implemented from July to December 2023(observation group).The score of knowledge mastery of infectious disease prevention,the score of quality of infectious disease prevention work,the score of professional accomplishment and the satisfaction of management were compared between the two groups.Results The scores of infectious disease pre-vention knowledge,infectious disease prevention work quality and professional quality of the staff in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The management satisfaction of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of public health management in the infectious disease prevention work of CDC can improve the staff's knowledge of infectious disease prevention,the quality of in-fectious disease prevention work,the staff's professional quality,and the satisfaction of infectious disease prevention and control management.
