Analysis of the Teaching Effect of Group Discussion Combined with Mini-CEX Evaluation on Medical Laboratory Technology Specialty
Objective To explore the teaching effect of group discussion combined with Mini-clinical Evaluation Ex-ercise(Mini-CEX)assessment on medical laboratory technology specialty.Methods A total of 62 students in the small class of the Department of Clinical Laboratory of Jilin City Hospital of Chemical Industry were selected as the study objects.They were divided into two groups according to different teaching methods.A total of 31 students from July to December 2022 were taken as the control group by routine teaching,and 31 students from July to December 2023 were taken as the observation group by group discussion combined with Mini-CEX evaluation teaching.The sat-isfaction with the teaching methods and the evaluation scores of the teaching effect(specimen collection,morphologi-cal identification,standardized operation of equipment,operation safety,quality control,report review)of the two groups of students were compared.Results The total satisfaction of the observation group was 100.00%(31/31),which was higher than that of 83.87%(26/31)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.439,P<0.05).The scores of morphological identification,standardized operation of equipment,quality control and report re-view in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Group discussion combined with Mini-CEX assessment is helpful to improve the teach-ing effect of medical laboratory technology specialty.
