Clinical Pathway and PDCA Cycle Management Application in Obstetrics and Gynecology Teaching Value Analysis
Objective To analyze the value of applying clinical pathways and PDCA cycle management in obstetrics and gynecology education. Methods From July 2020 to June 2022,90 interns in the Department of Obstetrics and Gy-necology of Luotian County Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as the research objects. They were di-vided into two groups according to different teaching methods.Forty-five interns from July 2020 to June 2021 were in-cluded in the control group, and 45 interns from July 2021 to June 2022 were included in the study group. The control group received traditional teaching mode, while the study group implemented clinical pathway and PDCA cycle man-agement mode. The clinical teaching effect(obstetrics and gynecology professional rehabilitation skills, basic skills, theoretical knowledge),skill level(assessment, condition observation, humanistic care,problems,measures,nurder-patient communication, effect)and the recognition rate of teaching mode were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The score of theoretical knowledge, basic skills and professional skills of gynecology and obstetrics in the study group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of skill levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).The recognition rate of the teaching modes in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Clinical pathway and PDCA cycle management can enhance students'awareness of obstetrics and gynecology knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology teaching, and have a positive effect on improving skills, emergency response capabilities, and recognition of teaching models.
