Exploration of the Mechanism for Cultivating and Utilizing Young PhDs in Public Hospitals:A Case of a Grade 3A General Public Hospital in Jiangsu Province
This study aims to analyze the current status of young PhD holders in a certain tertiary public hospital,pro-viding recommendations for improving the training and utilization mechanisms for young PhDs.By using human re-source statistics,archival review,surveys,and interviews,a comprehensive investigation was conducted on all young PhDs in the hospital.The study involves collecting specific data on the age,gender,professional title distribution,pa-per publications,and project applications of young PhDs up to September 2023.It also investigates the hospital's ex-periences in training and utilizing young PhDs,summarizing the pain points and difficulties in this regard.Further-more,it clarifies young PhDs'evaluations and needs concerning the hospital's work environment,research status,and career development.The study indicates that,after years of practice and exploration,the hospital has made significant achievements in the training and utilization of young PhDs,providing a strong talent pool for the hospital's high-quality development.However,there are still many deficiencies that need to be addressed.The hospital should con-tinue to actively explore reforms and innovations in the training and utilization mechanisms for young PhDs.
