Exploring the Impact of PDCA Management Method on the Quality of Pe-diatric Nursing Care
Objective To analyze the effect of applying PDCA management method by pediatric nurses on improving the quality of nursing care.Methods A total of twenty-four pediatric nurses from Shuiqinggou Street Community Health Service Center in Shibei District of Qingdao City were selected as the research objects.From January to June 2023,routine management(control group)was adopted,and from July to December 2023,PDCA management method(observation group)was adopted.The one-time puncture success rate,nursing quality and nurse management satisfac-tion of pediatric nurses in the two groups were compared.Results The success rate of one-time puncture in the obser-vation group was 99.96%(12 450/12 453),which was higher than 99.67%(12 322/12 362)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=32.165,P<0.001).The nursing quality score(nurse-patient communica-tion ability,medical risk handling ability,professional practical ability,nursing responsibility)of the observation group were higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfac-tion of nurses in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PDCA management method in pediatric nurses can improve the success rate of one-time puncture and improve the quality of nursing.
