Analysis of the Influence of PDCA Cycle on the Quality of Pediatric Work in the Management of Junior Nurses
Objective To study and analyze the effect of PDCA cycle management on the quality of pediatric work in nurses with low seniority.Methods 34 junior nurses from the Department of Pediatrics at the Third Affiliated Hospital of University of South China were selected as the research objects.From January to June 2023,they were assigned to the routine group using basic management methods.From July to December 2023,PDCA cycle management will be adopted for the observation group.The quality of nursing work and nursing professional assessment results were com-pared between two groups.Results The basic nursing,nursing operation,service attitude,document recording,and safety management scores of the routine group were 18.36±0.22,18.30±0.18,18.12±0.18,18.34±0.21,and 18.57±0.60,respectively,with a total score of 91.68±1.39.The scores of observation group was 19.52±0.31,19.54±0.43,19.23±0.50,19.04±0.39,and 18.11±0.32,with a total score of 95.44±1.95.The scores of observation group were higher than those of the routine group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The nursing pro-fessional assessment scores of the observation group were higher than those of the routine group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the management of junior nurses,PDCA cycle management can improve the quality of pediatric work.
