Observation and Analysis on the Application Value of PDCA Circulation Management in Hand Hygiene Management of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurses
Objective To analyze the application value of PDCA cycle management in hand hygiene management of nurses in obstetrics and gynecology.Methods Twenty nurses working in the obstetrics and gynecology department of Hunan Brain Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Traditional nursing management for hand hygiene management from January to December 2022 was used as the reference group,and PDCA cycle management for hand hygiene management from January to December 2023 was used as the observation group.The comprehensive quality score,the pass rate of hand bacteria detection,the completion rate of hand hygiene work and the occurrence of iatrogenic infection were compared between the two groups.Results The comprehensive quality score,pass rate of hand bacteria detection and hand hygiene completion rate of nurses in observation group were higher than those in reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Iatrogenic in-fection occurred in 0 cases in the observation group and 2 cases in the reference group.Conclusion The application of PDCA cycle management in hand hygiene management of obstetrics and gynecology nurses can improve nurses'comprehensive quality score,improve hand hygiene work completion rate,and reduce the risk of iatrogenic infection.
