Practice and Exploration of Situational Teaching Mode in the Process of Cultivating Doctor-Patient Communication Ability of Medical Students
Objective To discuss the application effect of situational teaching mode on the cultivation of doctor-patient communication ability among medical students.Methods A total of seventy-two medical students studying in the general outpatient department of Shanghai Pudong Weifang Community Health Service Center from January 2021 to February 2024 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into two groups according to the enrollment time,with thirty-six students each.The observation group(August 2022-February 2024)was given situational teach-ing mode and the control group(January 2021-July 2022)was given traditional teaching mode.The results of situ-ational teaching(communication ability,clinical ability,writing ability,comprehensive ability)and satisfaction scores of various teaching effects were compared between the two groups of medical students.Results After teaching,the score of the observation group's communication ability,clinical ability,writing ability and comprehensive ability was significantly higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After teaching,the satisfaction scores of various teaching effects in the observation group were higher than those in the con-trol group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of situational teaching mode to medical students can effectively improve their doctor-patient communication ability,improve their clinical problem handling and response ability,and thus enhance their clinical comprehensive ability.
