The Application of PBL Teaching Method Combined with Surgical Video Teaching in Thoracic Surgery Teaching
Objective To explore the teaching effectiveness of combining problem based learning(PBL)and surgical video teaching in thoracic surgery teaching.Methods Thirty clinical medicine students from the 19th grade of Jiaxing University School of Medicine from March 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the control group and receive tradi-tional teaching.Thirty clinical medicine students from April 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research group,and adopt surgical video combined with PBL teaching.The learning outcomes and teaching satisfaction of two groups were compared.Results The theoretical knowledge and case analysis scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the research group with the teaching mode was 96.67%(29/30),which was higher than 73.33%(22/30)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.706,P<0.05).Conclusion The use of PBL teaching method combined with surgical video teaching in thoracic surgery teaching can improve students'learning effective-ness and increase their satisfaction with teaching.
