Evaluation of the Implementation Effect of Case Teaching Method in Clini-cal Teaching of Dermatology
Objective To evaluate the implementation effect of case teaching method in clinical teaching of dermatol-ogy.Methods Forty trainees admitted to the Dermatology Department of Lengshuitan Branch of Yongzhou Central Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects by target sampling method, and were divide into two groups of twenty trainees in each group according to the order of admission. The reference group implements traditional teaching methods, while the observation group implements case teaching methods. The assess-ment scores,self-learning ability, clinical thinking ability, disease diagnosis and treatment ability, and teaching satis-faction between two groups were compared. Results The theoretical and operational assessment scores of the observa-tion group were higher than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The observation group had better self-learning ability, clinical thinking ability, and disease diagnosis and treat-ment ability than the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the observation group's teaching was 100.00%(20/20),which was higher than 70.00%(14/20)in the reference group's,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.902,P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional teaching methods, the application of case-based teaching method in clinical dermatology teaching has significant ef-fects,which can enhance the self-learning ability, clinical thinking ability, disease diagnosis and treatment ability of trainees, improve assessment scores, and achieve high satisfaction.
